A study conducted by researchers at Harvard University, specifically at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, explored the effects of low-level light therapy (LLLT) on patients with moderate traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This pioneering research aimed to understand how near-infrared light can influence brain repair processes and improve outcomes for TBI patients.
One potential avenue of treatment for TBI is infrared light, which has shown promising data in a number of applications. Near-infrared (NIR) light has been investigated for its ability to modulate intracellular mechanisms related to healing.

The 22 independent studies meeting inclusion criteria focused on knee arthropathies, spine, shoulder/elbow, wound, gynecological, or osteoporosis with evaluation of pain, function, quality of life, range of motion (ROM), and anatomy.
These studies have established that 1064 nm HPL-PMT can effectively reduce pain, increase range of motion, increase functional scores, and increase the quality of life for knee osteoarthritis and spinal disorders, with limitations. Read the entire study here:

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a highly debilitating chronic pain condition characterized by continuous regional pain disproportionate to duration and intensity of the initial damaging stimulus. In CRPS, abnormal perception, transmission, and modulation of pain by nerve cells and the autonomic nervous system induces extreme increases in perceived pain that may be accompanied by swelling, temperature sensitivity, color fluctuations, and/or skin changes.
After a series of laser treatments, the patients showed marked improvement in range of movement, hypersensitivity, pain, and function. Photobiomodulation through high-intensity laser therapy may represent a promising therapy for individuals affected by CRPS,
